Parents: Anatoli Fyodorov and Ekaterina Kolstatin
Siblings: Nikolai, Anastasia and Katya Fyodorov
Personality
Observant, charming, and easy-going, Demetri is a lot more relaxed than his older brother, though not much goes by him. True, sometimes even he misses the most obvious behavior signals, but he finds it relatively easy to admit when he’s the one at fault and find suitable reparations. Being trained as military from the early age, the younger Sarkoszy Prince has a good eye for detail and would ideally be at home in Court and at negotiation table, though it’s yet to be tested in practice despite his presence at his father’s side for these last few years.
As there are enough years and months between him and his siblings on either side, Demetri is not very close to either Nikolai or Anastasia, though he’s protective over the latter and, until recently, held the former in high esteem. Preferring to meet the expectations of those around him to the best of his abilities, he doesn’t expect anyone else to be perfect, and never strives for perfection himself. Katya, the youngest, is unknown to him, though like with Anastasia, he’s protective and caring, wishing to ensure both his sisters’ happiness. His and Nikolai’s relations, while he wished them to be much the same, were more of second father and son’s than siblings, as Nikolai tended to hold high expectations for him and hover when their own father did not, thus causing mild irritation in his younger brother from time to time.
Overall, the discreet distance all four siblings may seem to hold from each other to a casual observer is, perhaps, the cause of Demetri’s being completely at home at Court itself, and had given him the reason to observe and learn, as well as caution to whom he gave the high esteem to. Despite his age, he has yet much to learn, and he tends to use his time wisely, that including the ability to deal with unexpected situations well. Keeping himself busy attending the others, he tends to ensure his own comfort zone remains open, with much the same choices the rest of his siblings enjoy.
History
Second son to Anatoli Fyodorov and his wife Ekaterina, Demetri could be considered as someone who stole the spotlight from his elder brother Nikolai, which eventually led to the seeming distance between the pair of boys. Unlike Nikolai, who’d been trained from birth to become Empreror, Demetri was more interested in behind the scenes work, and as such, oftentimes could be seen observing the advisors while he was present on anything that required a discussion with them.
Once he was old enough, Demetri was found to be learning weapons and strategy, taking great interest in the subject, much to his bemusement. The training, which increased as soon as there was a realization about the boy’s apparent talent in that area, had taken him further from the family than he expected, thus making him absent when Anastasia was born, though he made an effort to get to know his younger sister. The effort, falling flat with the need of his presence elsewhere, made sure he at least was aware of her existence, as well as that of his youngest sister Katya, when she was born. However, by that time, he was working hard on learning all he possibly could in order to further his knowledge of Sarkoszy and its strategies in various areas. Sometimes, it had him working close with Nikolai, to whom he used to look up to and try meeting his expectations, others, he was on his own, which allowed for slight emotional distance between him, his siblings, and his parents to be present.
The announcement of Nikolai's departure to Demeria to follow up on a long existing betrothal contract, however, had Demetri follow his brother along through the letters his sister Anastasia sent with some worry. It was not the first time they had contacted another country, but he was slightly worried what that would mean for himself and his sisters. Anastasia's discussion with their parents concerning her marriage was shortly followed by his own prior to this, as he was well aware of the betrothal itself, but for now he retained the view of necessity to that of emotional ties. He supposed time would tell, but for now there were bigger concerns to take care of, such as most recent events in Demeria. His reaction to Nikolai's leaving the country and a difficult situation for their younger sisters being much the same as that of his parents, Demetri is waiting until such a time that a decision to send additional counsel is made, though who would be part of it remains a question, at least to him.

The news from Demeria was troubling to say the least, and Demetri was unable to help a frown come over his features, as he contemplated the new turn of events. Nikolai was gone, and no one in Demeria was aware to where. Still, while he couldn’t say he expected as much, the younger brother wondered to himself whether the action was to be expected from the pressure of expectation upon his older one. While he could have, and should have done better than leaving without a word to their sisters or accompanying nobles and not leave the solution of dispute to Anastasia, who was probably bewildered by the action in the first place, Demetri thought that Nikolai’s only excuse was the pressure which he was facing.
Frowning again and steepling his hands together as he sat at his desk, the younger Prince of Sarkoszy considered the resulting situation. It was troublesome to say the least, and the debate in the Throne Room that followed the newest missive from his sister expressed the disappointment all of them were feeling. For someone holding everyone else up to a high standard, Nikolai had certainly failed to meet his own requirement, and Demetri felt cheated of expectations of his own. Surely his brother was aware to how it would hurt not only his status among the nobles, but also the chances of his holding on to his current post. Still, time was going to tell how bad the effect was, and especially so if the additional envoys were to be sent to Demeria to help Anastasia and Katya with discussing new alliances. Anticipating that he’s likely to be a part of the new delegation, Demetri got up to find a servant to help him pack. While he was uncertain of whether that was the case, in hindsight it was best to be prepared in case it was so. The delegation itself would have to be ready to leave at moment’s notice.
