Some Time to Relax

Hoping a light breakfast tea wouldn’t be out of order, as well as one of the two promised to Emma meetings concerning their family, Mariana asked for help to organize snacks and tea for the ladies she planned to invite for this, taking place the morning a day or so after her talk with her sister. For now, it would be her Aunt, Cousin and sister, though she would appeal to the outside help if this little affair fell through with intent of helping a certain Aunt of theirs take a bit of a break and perhaps share what she would consider available. For the time being, however, while Mariana finished setting up in a quiet room of one of the castle’s quieter wings, well out of everyone’s regular routes, she asked a servant to provide all three ladies with directions to the place included in her invitations. She was uncertain to how the meeting was going to fare all of itself, however. Hopefully, all would be able to find time in their schedules to drop by, or at least she would be able to talk to them at one point throughout the meal. Giving a soft smile and thanking the servants for their time and help, Mariana wandered toward one of the windows, for now on her own, though she was rather certain it wasn’t going to last for long. At least she hoped it wasn’t going to.

Curious to receive an invitation from cousin Mariana, Serah chose to attend the requested meeting and determine why she was included. Dressing in a gown of rose hue, she left her wealth of pale gold hair loose but for a rose-shaped clip at her nape that secured several locks away from her face, then made to follow the servant sent to guide her to where her cousin awaited. Serah said little as the woman led her through to the royal wing, her mind primed for nearly any topic to be discussed in slim hope of being prepared without succumbing to shock or surprise.

A quiet expression of thanks was given to the servant upon reaching the door behind which Mariana awaited her, seeing the woman off before she knocked lightly to announce her presence.
