Nickname - Cece, Cecile
Gender - Female
Age - Fourteen
Birthday - 5, March, 1524
Noble House - St. Claire
Skills - Diplomacy, Courtly Graces, Gossip, Poetry, Fashion, Dancing, Peacemaking
Play By - Amanda Seyfried
Immediate Family Members - Father - Daven St. Claire, Mother - Helena St. Claire {Deceased}, Siblings - Julia St. Claire, Lynesse St. Claire, Rosalie St. Claire
Personality
The youngest of the St. Claire sisters, Cecilia is a poetic soul with a way of weaving words, which helps in her ways of being peacemaker and giving her a diplomatic edge. Cece hardly ever has a harsh word for anyone, and is a kind, gentle soul and in some aspects, naive. Cecilia strives to be the light in the darkness for everyone around her although she tends to keep her own worries and fears bottled up. Always a listening ear, Cece tends to open herself up to listening to peoples problems and being there for them without judgement. Cece is currently content with her lot in life aside from a desire to find her own place in society as well as her family. She has no desires to join in on Rosalies spying sprees, content to simply sit back and hear the tales later, preferably while working on some needlework or poetry.
Cece has a habit of wrinkling her nose and giggling a tad too much but it is a habit she cannot seem to break. In social situations, she is horribly shy at first and will be as silent as a mouse until she is comfortable with the people that she is with. Cece tends to be a tad too trusting and can be gullible at times, believing things that she is told even if they are not the truth. Despite her all too trusting nature, once Ceces trust is broken, it is difficult for the person that broke it to earn it back. Even then, the girl will remain as civil and kind as ever, leaving one wondering what is truly going on within that pretty blonde head of hers. Everyone has some sort of major flaw, and Cecilias is her ability to hold a grudge.
The girl has a love for animals and nature, if given leave, the St. Claire residence would be full of all sorts of wildlife. Selfless in nature, Cece tends to put everyone elses needs before her own without a thought to it. Bubbly and full of humor, Cecilia strives to bring a smile or even a laugh on the lips of the people she meets. She especially strives to bring happiness to her hard working father and eldest sister for she can tell that her father is lonely and that Julia is under a lot of pressure. The little kitten does have claws when it comes to her family due to her deep seated family loyalty. Anyone that she calls friend also earns this loyalty without question.
History
Cecilia is the youngest daughter born to Daven and Helena St. Claire. Due to her young age at the time of her mothers death, Cece barely remembers the woman the woman that gave her life and at times, it bothers her that she cannot remember what she looked like. Latching on to her sister Julia as a mother figure, the girl often listens to the womans instruction without question, trusting that Julia would never steer her wrong. Cece often enjoys her lessons because she knows that it is all to help her become the best Lady that she is capable of being. She strives to find her own place amongst her sisters but so far, does not believe that she has found it quite yet.
When it came to their cousinly rivals, where Lynesse reacted with tears {and later, anger}, Rosalie, retorts, Cece found her own way of dealing with the cousins. That way being, simply reacting by being as kind as ever and being diplomatic. After all, what better way to stifle the harsh barbs than not allowing them to know it pierced her skin? Rather, she kept any hurt feelings over it to herself until she could later discuss things with her siblings, finding her sisters a source of comfort. Unlike Rosalie, Cece never found much interest in knowing everything that there is to know, trusting that if any news would affect her that she would be told or could simply ask. Unlike Rosalie and Lynesse, Cecilia is perfectly content to have Julia and her father help plan her future for her for she is of the mind that they both know what is best for her.
Cecilia was thrilled to hear that she would be allowed to go to court this season, a moment she had been waiting for for years. Having heard tales of Ladies, Lords and all the events, she knew it would be quite fun and a place that might help her find her own area to shine.
RP Sample
Cecilia was highly enjoying her time at the masque, the mask on her face helped to shed off her usual initially shy skin. The town square looked wonderful and Ceces eyes lit up with delight at the way the light from the laterns added to the jovial atmosphere of the square. She was not able to discern who was who besides the members of her own family. Lynesse had told her all about a lord she had gotten to know earlier in the day and she made a calculated guess that her sister would be searching for the Duke. Spotting her father easily, she let off a girlish giggle at his attire. Catching the sight of a woman in a rather provacative dress, the first thing that came to mind was that the color suited the woman wearing it perfectly. The next was knowing exactly who it was, the Lady De Vere, no doubt. She had heard tales, as she often did since she was guilty of enjoying the art of gossip but had yet to actually meet the girl. Drawing her attention away as the woman went to dance with her father, she caught sight of Julia and smiled at how wonderful her sister looked.
She seemed to be unnoticed so far so Cece used the moment to admire the costumes of others. Spotting the king on the other side of the place, she thought she caught sight of her sister Rosalie dancing with one of the nobles. Well, at least she was not sneaking off anywhere. Cece sincerely hoped it was some sort of phase despite the fact that she rather enjoyed hearing the tales of her sisters exploits. Curiously watching the interactions of the many people gathered, Cece caught sight of her sister Lynesse. Wrinkling her nose in amusement and giggling as she saw that Lynesse was dancing with someone, she assumed the person to be the Duke her sister was smitten with.
Accepting a dance or two of her own, Cecilia embodied the butterfly she had come as and flitted to and fro throughout the place. She was having a good time of it and hoped everyone else was as well. It seemed to be so until she heard a commotion going on in the direction the king had been seated. Oh dear, what on Earth was happening? Immediately finding her way to Julias side, and allowing herself to be rounded up without complaints, she left her questions for later. If it was meant for them to know, then they would be informed of what was happening. Until then, best get going to safer places. Feeling safer already with Julias hand grasping her, she followed after her sisters as they made their exit.
