Second born daughter of Daven St. Claire, Lynesse has inherited her fathers observational skills and her mothers beauty. Another trait that she had inherited from her father, is his stubborn nature. Once her mind is made up about something, it is near impossible to change it unless your name is Julia St. Claire. Lynesse has a deep respect for her elder sister although she does believe that the woman needs to have a bit of fun now and then. That being said, Lynesse can be a bit of a prankster and is devious enough to make it so that it is not obvious that she is the culprit. Social to a fault, Lynesse is quite outgoing and quite capable of holding a conversation. She has a tendency to say what is on her mind without thinking which can lead to a bit of trouble at the worse of times.
Lynesse is a hopeless romantic and the thought of being married off into a loveless marriage causes her distress. At the same time, she is understanding that it is her duty to marry a man that will bring profit to the St. Claire household. Lynesse can be a bit oversensitive which she often channels into anger rather than tears. An angry Lynesse can be quite terrifying to those that do not know how to simmer her down. In anger, Lynesse stays quite ladylike as is expected of her but the simple tone of her voice is quite capable of cutting into the source of her anger. Lynesse is artistically talented and handles the things she does with a natural grace. Lynesse is a bit of a dreamer, and often loses herself into daydreams which often account for missed happenings or tardiness. Lynesse has a tendency to incite arguements between herself and her potential suitors out of a need to see if they would be able to keep up with her.
History
Lynesse St. Claire is the second born daughter of Daven and Rosalie St. Claire. The teen showed a talent for the musical arts from a very early age and often sings while doing needlework. She has had not had the same pressures as Julia has endured but she has received similiar instruction in ladylike graces and etiquette of the courts from a very early age. When she was a young girl, it was brought to her understanding that she would someday have to marry a man that would bring profit to the St. Claire household. As she entered the age where she would start to be considered as a bride, Lynesse subtly deterred potential suitors that she either did not personally like the personality of or whom she did not feel would bolster her houses profits.
Unlike her elder sister, Lynesse did not develop a thick hide against the barbs that came at her family from their cousins mouths. Often taunted to tears in her first few years of life, Lynesse gradually started to channel that hurt into anger, earning her a reputation as to having a fearsome temper. After the death of her mother, Lynesse became more determined that the man she would marry would have to meet her familys standards as well as her own for she could not imagine being married to someone that she would be unable to mourn for as her father had for her mother. This often causes a rift between herself, her father and her older sister as she is now seventeen and yet to receive suitable suitors. All three being headstrong and stubborn can often cause tiffs to end without anything being properly resolved.

Lynesse seemed to be running late again, it seemed to be the norm for her no matter how much she tried being a little more responsible in that area. She could not help it that she had been having such a splendid daydream about fishing despite the fact that she could not recall ever having done so before. They were heading to the Court again and she was still only in her shift! Calling for her handmaidens as discreetly as she could so that Julia would not overhear and realize that she was not even dressed yet and so late in the morning, she beckoned them into her chambers. Ignoring the looks on their faces, she requested that they help her get ready. Dressed in the nick of time it looked like as Julia started banging on the door as she tended to do when the St. Clairee girls were running late. Thank heavens that as an unmarried woman, her hair had to be down anyway. It was beautiful enough that it did not need embellishments or so Lynesse personally thought. Quickly making her golden locks presentable, she finished off her attire with a simple necklace meant to draw the eye as one of her sisters put it. Double checking her appearance, she headed out the door just as her oldest sister was about to enter.
Attempting to conceal the mess with her slight frame, she gave a bright grin at the older St. Clairee. "What are you waiting for? We're going to be late," she said as if Julia had been the one to keep everyone waiting. Managing to get her sister to turn around but not without receiving a stern look of disapproval, the young blonde giggled as she clicked the door to the chambers shut and followed her sister down to the exit of their household. The carriages would be taking them to court, where she would once again have to stand still and shut up unless spoken to. Lynesse seriously wondered if anyone actually enjoyed these things, including the royalty. Well, if a possible suitor spoke to her, she could have her usual fun of picking an arguement to see if they could keep up with her. So far, no man had succeeded. She was her mothers daughter, after all.
