The Doctrine of the Church is relatively simple, based on the faiths followed by the tribes well over a millennium ago.
- There are three faces of God - the Warrior, the Teacher and the Judge. They are referred to as the Triad.
- The Triad refers to the three phases of a man's life - we are Taught, we become Warriors in the battle of Life, and at the end, we face Judgment.
- Each Face teaches a different facet of faith and contains their own Sects Holy Orders.
- The Church exists to serve the Triad, the Crown and the People. It must remain incorruptible from the politics of man and nation.
The Facets - The Teacher:
This is the kindly, loving and patient aspect of God, who watches over, teaches and guides the people through life. It is He who reminds us of the three primary Virtues - humility, charity and industry - without which man finds himself prey to sin, corruption and damnation.
Holy Orders of the Teacher are devoted to tending the children, sick and aged, to clothing and feeding the poor, and to establishing Church-schools to provide rudimentary education. The majority of priests are taken from the Order of the Teacher.
The Facets - The Warrior
As the Teacher is kind and gentle, the Warrior is strong and fierce. This is the aspect of God that stands fast against the trials of the soul, that fends off temptation, sin and corruption and defends the Church from any who seek to defile her. The cardinal Virtues of the Warrior are Loyalty, Integrity and Courage.
Holy Orders of the Warrior are Knights of the Church, aiding the King's armies when appropriate, providing protection for Church properties and staff, and defending the meek, the helpless and the oppressed.
The Facets - The Judge
There is no man without sin, it is said. The Judge is viewed as the face of God seen in times of crisis, and at a man's death. Each soul must face the Judge to be weighed and measured before gaining admission to the after-life, but in life, those souls can often require reminders of the Judge's Virtues - Justice, Temperance and Faith.
The Holy Orders of the Judge are Adjudicators, Advisors to the Nobles/Crown, and Justices.
