VIVIANNE TREVELYAN

Age - Nineteen

Noble House - Trevelyan
Skills - Stealth, Disguise, Espionage, Dagger Fighting, Standard Noblewoman Skills
Play By - Jenna Louise Coleman
Immediate Family Members - Father, Mother, Siblings, Spouse, Children
Personality
Vivi strives to be what their mother expects of a Trevelyan daughter. She has the same independent spirit, the drive to be and do more, yet she has tempered herself in self-control, discretion and femininity. That does not mean, however, that she lacks a temper. Vivi can be extremely impatient with those who aren't her equal in intelligence or fail to grasp what is right in front of them. Only through the years of training has she managed to hide her irritation - glittering eyes behind lowered lids and a tongue bitten to the point of bleeding prevent her from making major faux pas.
Beauty is Vivianne’s gift, and she has learned to wield it with a masterful touch. A soft laugh, a light touch, a deliberate lowering of thick, dark lashes, and a cajoling look of eyes like pieces of the night sky carry an impact on those who approach her. She is a flirt, a coquette, perhaps even a seductress… in her own way. She does not play fast and loose with virtue, rather she has a very definite limit to the games she plays, never going too far to risk reputation or start rumor.
Encouraged to develop her mind for the maneuverings of the Court and the machinations of nobility after a certain ‘event’ as a young girl, Vivianne has taken on a definite jewel-like polish. Charm, grace and eloquence are three of her primary skills, intended to be used for the good of House Trevelyan.
Underneath the glamour and polish, Vivi is a young woman who strives for her parents’ approval, praise and trust. She is prepared to act in ways her siblings might not in the furtherance of the family’s agenda, but is fiercely loyal. There is nothing she will not do to protect the family, including ruining someone’s life politically or socially.
There is also a maternal side to Vivianne, a need to foster, nurture and care for those who may need her. She works to be an example to her younger siblings. Some day, she hopes to be half as good a mother to her children as her own has been. While she loves all of her siblings without reserve, she is not close to any of them at the moment.
Eventually, Vivi intends to marry, knowing she will likely have to leave Cobalton. There is an obtuse part of her that almost hopes her father arranges some sort of outrageous marriage for her that would leave everyone gaping in astonishment at her courage, spine and intelligence.
History
The eldest daughter of House Trevelyan but not the eldest child, Vivianne Trevelyan was said to have the spark of mischief from birth. It came, they said, because the Lady Trevelyan was forced to give birth in the carriage on the road back to Cobalton from Triadon. Others said it was the impatience of the babe in her womb to be born. Regardless, as soon as the child was able to walk, she was constantly into trouble of some time.
Trailing after her brother, Vivianne did her best to mimic him, to learn what he did, dressing as a boy did, picking up the wooden practice blades, and demanding to be taught to ride. She played at being one of the pages until her mother caught her, horrified that her little daughter was more a son than a girl at the age of ten. Only after a stern talking to (and some significant bribery) from her parents did she finally agree to dress as a girl and to learn some of the more... interesting skills a lady could possess. It taxed Lord Trevelyan's imagination to keep her challenged and focused, but as soon as he learned of Vivianne's concealed penchant for silks, satins, fine jewels and most of all, a love for exotic foods, he used that to compel her obedience and feminine conduct until she fulfilled her mother's notion of an adequately skilled noble lady.
Marrying her off has promised to be an interesting venture; Vivianne has resisted the notion of it and of going to court. She is happy in Cobalton, riding her horses and enjoying the freedom of being an unwed lady, but by now, her father sees no choice but to send her to Triadon, especially as she is sniffing a little too close to some ventures of his that put her in danger.

“No, the red one, I think, Dorie.”
Turning from the dressing table to wave off her maid’s initial choice of attire for the day, she nodded approval at the dark red gown chosen. Cut with deceptive modesty, the bodice hinted at the feminine curves contained within the fabric without revealing more than a hint of creamy flesh. Dark eyes flashed with merriment as she resumed brushing the long, inky hair to a satiny sheen.
Tonight would be a fitting test of her skills on some of the knights, to see if she was able to wield a beautiful woman’s influence in counter to their accustomed good sense. Knowing her parents would be observing only added a spice of excitement to the night’s possibilities. Vivian was ready to show them how well she’d learned her lessons… and the gown, along with a chain of garnets circling her slender throat, would be just one weapon in her arsenal tonight. She was going fully armed indeed.
