"I shall do so," he nodded with promise and then eyed her, trying to figure out if she was, indeed teasing him. She was very humble about herself, almost to the point of excess. He knew she could not exactly help it; she was who she was. "... Are we allowed to have more than one favor on our lance? Or would that make me too much of a rake?" The smile was an amused one.
"I am merely providing you with a bevy of options, since I feel it's better to have many choices rather than none. I leave it up to you decide... I think you'd be excellent in either place."

Laurent had a point, and she welcomed the chance to do some good on their family name, perhaps undoing some of the damage their mother had done. If she could do it, so much the better. The reach of Veronica St. Claire de Lac was a little too far for Lisette's liking, but the changes coming so rapidly weren't helping her much either.
"You'll always be a rake no matter what," she chided her twin, "so choose one lady and request her favor. It might be nice if you chose someone less well favored and made her smile. You never know to whom you might find yourself wedded, and to pay some attention to those less lovely ladies makes you all the more attractive."
She shrugged at his comment. "Well, then let's see how to bring it about. It's time to restore some dignity and honor to our name if it can be done."

Laurent regarded his sister on her advice, particularly reminded of her own experiences in life. "Then it is between Lady Vivianne and Lady Katalin. I have not yet met the latter, but she is quiet and relatively unnoticed. I cannot know if either would appreciate the attention I would bestow upon them. What if they prefer to hide the shadows and go unnoticed?"
Laurent laughed and put his arm about his sister. "That is the Lisette I know. The de Lac name shall be respected again. Our duchy is a quiet one, even with the return of Lady Rose. If we can make a name of ourselves, then perhaps we can approve the standing of all associated with us."
