I write this letter to apologize profusely for any difficulties that Nikolai may have caused your family, and to invite your family to join mine for dinner one evening soon to meet my brother Demetri, and of course, my father. Both have expressed a wish to meet the de Winters, as I greatly enjoyed our time together and hope that we might work past the difficulties to gain a friendship.
