What Have We Here?

Unable to help a giggle at the sight of the man’s sheepish smile, Rosalie toed the ground with her foot, a habit she noticed was developing when not needed and usually didn’t mean anything good for her. “That’s good,” she nodded with a bright grin before waving a hand around. “Shall we walk?” Not only was her ability to stay still wearing thin, she also seemed to be able to talk better when they walked and this was turning plain awkward. Quickly shaking her head to dislodge one of the leaves stuck to her hair while she’d been fidgeting on the branch and nearly fallen from it, Rosalie hummed, wondering what to say.
“Well… it’s a difficult question as I’ve only been around the Princess for a short while, but I can see that she’s a fairly strong and kind person. I’ve easily plenty of time to learn what it is I’m supposed to do and have room to spend with the family and explore.” It was her turn to temporize and give an entirely too innocent look toward Lord Halton at the last point. The tree was enough of a note to which sort of explorations it tended to be. “As to the rumors, I’d like to know what exactly you heard to be able to answer that. You know there’s usually several flying about.” Pausing as she turned to look at him with curiosity, Rose still had a fairly good idea of what it was the man heard, but decided to find out for certain. Despite her and Lady Natalie’s efforts, things still slipped through their fingers.
She then blinked in mild surprise at the number, then recalled the fact that borders weren’t always that dangerous, so she shouldn’t be that surprised. Still, it caught her up, and a grin was directed toward him at the thought about the others. “Three. Julia and Lynesse are both older than I am, and Cecelia’s younger. I expect you’d be able to encounter them all in time, as all of them are here right now.” She wasn’t entirely certain for how long that will remain the truth, but she expected it to be a while yet. After all, the festival still had a few events left. If she was proved wrong, however, she was still certain it could be arranged with time.
