Some people liked a certain style to their daggers, but Daven would be nearby to indicate whether the style was practical. He felt fairly confident that the two of them would reach a compromise. Amused at her father’s tone as he said that, she was glad he was actually considering things. A compromise over something as simple as her owning a functional dagger was something they could reach, she was sure, but it was going to be seen how successful they were.

“Will do, Papa. Is there anything else I need to know?” Asking out of sheer curiosity, Rose was more than ready to start in on the actual breakfast, which they were both distracted from by their conversation. Thankfully it seemed like food was still warm, which was all to the good.
