These rules are subject to update or change at the discretion of the moderators. Players will be notified of any changes by PM.
The rules for play in The Kingdom of Demeria are few but they are not open to negotiation; these rules for general play are to protect the players as much as the creators and staff. Please read the rules thoroughly prior to application; any questions should be directed to the staff.
1.) Respect, first and foremost, is a requirement for all players. Please show your fellow writers and the Staff respect as you would want to be respected - we are all here to write, to have fun.
2.) No god-moding, please. If you are uncertain whether an action you wish your character to take could be considered god-moding, please discuss it with one of the Staff prior to posting. While this is fiction, no character knows everything, can do everything or be everywhere.
3.) Please maintain the minimum level of activity for your characters. The Victors' Spoils is an active, ongoing forum where participation equals success and of course, greater enjoyment for all.
4.) Communication is greatly appreciated - any and all questions should be directed to the Staff via private message, email or if one is available in the shout-box, please ask questions there. This also applies to story ideas, concerns, requests for assistance and so on. We always welcome interaction with our players!
5.) Please keep actions and commentary realistic! While we've based TVS on the Tudor Era in the real world, we also are not super strict about accuracy. We've provided lots of reference information to help you, but please try to keep your posts in keeping with the time period and settings.
6.) Please keep the drama to In Character! We don't expect everyone to be BFFs or even to get along out of character. There will be personality conflicts, misunderstandings, and bad days. We're all human! Please just try to keep it out of the c-box or off the forum. Thanks - we really want this to be a place for writers to relax and enjoy.
7.) Have fun. Last, but definitely not least, we are all here to write, to enjoy the interaction and the world in which The Victors' Spoils is set.
