Laurent was becoming increasingly troubled by the various events in Triadon. First, there were rumors that Lady Rose was coming to Triadon herself, his uncle still firmly believed that Laurent's mother needed to be brought here and then his sister has an unfortunate encounter with Rupert de Vere. What was next? They had fled to Triadon to get away from the negative pressures in their lives, and yet they continued to build.
No. He was not going to let himself focus on the negative. If he continued to do so, then he only had himself to blame should things ever start to go sour. Laurent was a firm believer that any encounter could have a positive outcome if all parties held that common goal in mind. It was an idealistic and perhaps foolish philosophy, but it was one to which he stubbornly adhered. Said philosophy had yet to steer him wrong! Therefore, something had to be right about it.
Armed with the power of positive thinking, Laurent was smiling as he strolled through the impressive halls of Carlisle Castle. It was, understandably, much larger than than his own home and the waterfalls were nothing less than impressive. Changing direction, suddenly, he ventured toward one of the many terraces and leaned over carefully to admire what he could of the waterfalls.
Nearby was a woman that he did not immediately recognize. She was petite, dark haired and fair skinned. Laurent would even go so far as to say she was rather attractive. But rather than approach her, he continued to give her curious, fleeting sidelong glances. Nevermind that he was dressed well, recently groomed and looked every part the handsome gentleman! It was more that... he wasn't quite the charmer his brother was.
